Challenges
- Handling concurrent seat bookings during peak times to prevent double-booking.
- Generating complex PDF tickets with QR codes on the fly without blocking the main thread.
- Migrating legacy data from manual Excel sheets to a relational MySQL database.
Implemented Solutions
- Implemented database locking and transaction safeguards in Laravel to ensure atomic booking operations.
- Offloaded PDF generation to a queued background job using Redis/Horizon.
- Built a custom data seeder script with validation logic to sanitize and import legacy data accurately.
